Tish for Costantine- Atelier du gout

    

    

 

 

I've been to a really cute restaurant that deserves a delicious Tish!

The place is really small but is really cosy, you almost feel as though you are at home.

Everything it's fresh, from the pasta to the tomatoes! So you eat only seasonal produce.

Before our starter they brought us a delicious gaspaccio and a little spoon of courgette puree and tomatoes as a taster... Love a bit of free food!

We also tried the steak tartare which tasted of the actual meat and not only of the sauce.

The octopus, turbot and wild boar were not bad either!

The best plate was of course mine . . .  lobster linguine! The pasta was amazing!

I stole some desert from my fellow diners, and I have to say that they were absolutly delicious, Constantine have a cook specifically for deserts, so was only going to be good! The Tiramisu is especially good!

At the end of our meal they bought us a mini Pina Colada and some nuts which I thought was a nice finishing touch.

The staff is super friendly, the wine list is correct and the price fair.

So if you are around you won't regret a visit.

Tish for the fish, little Pish for the quantity of Pescheria Mattiucci!

So I've been to the Pescheria Mattiucci near Portobello Road.  I was excited about it and was really looking forward to eating some delicious fish!!!


And let's be honest, the fish was good and really fresh! 


It's more like a tapas bar where you share the food rather than a restaurant.


We began with a mixed plate of raw fishes and prawn.  We also had a Aubergine Parmigiana with prawns, a delicious squid filled with spinach, swordfish, mixed vegetables, and few other plates, we finished with the Cassata Siciliana a fresh cake made with ricotta.


The wine list it is pretty small but the wine they had was very nice.  The service is good and there is a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Now after all that food you would have expected us to be rolling but instead we were starving! That's the pish of this restaurant, the portions are actually ridiculously small and the price a bit high, but worth it if you want some good fish!


So you have two options here,  The first is to go there for a few bites and a glass of wine.  After that you leave and enter the first chip shop you find on your way home.  The second option, go there with a boyfriend who has been naughty and needs punishing... In this case please order all the menu as it's not so big and go for a double plate if necessary as you are not paying :-)

Tish to the Bon appetit healthy diet.

So I love my food and my diets are always very short.  They typically last between 8 and 26 hours maximum.  I know, not very good!  Anyway enough about me... I found this detox diet and honestly by the look of the pictures it actually look delicious.  If only I had a personal cook I would do it straight away!

On the downside, it is a bit expensive.  If you had to buy everything from scratch I guess the first weeks shopping will cost you about £180 but this will go down for the second as many of the things keep (like the herbs, oil, vinegar, seeds...).

So do not do like me and instead start your two week healthy diet now.  By the way, if you want to invite me for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the next two weeks... I'm in and I will help you to eat!!!

Pish to Kanaloa!

"6.30PM, so let's have few drinks and a nice relaxing dinner," ... Do not go to Kanaloa!!! This is my advice!

I entered was greeted by the smell of air freshener and some nice girls dressed in Hawaiian costumes who gave me a flower neckless.  So far, so good ? Wrong! From that moment I could not hear a word that anyone was saying just awful music that involved Michael Jackson... Surrounded by drunk city boys dancing (move weirdly) with huge cocktails in their hands... Bearing in mind it is still 6.32PM... After a few drinks and trying to shout and conduct a conversation by sign language, the food arrived.  The food wasn't bad but wasn't good either.  I decided to eat in silence as I am not great at sign language and using chop sticks at the same time.  At this point my only goal was to leave 'Hawaii' and get back to rainy city... Mission accomplished by 9pm when I relocated myself in a nice, relaxing, smelly old pub!

So Pish to Kanaloa as it is not a restaurant but a cocktail bar. I will say though that if you go there at the weekend (without the city boys) after having dinner (in a nice restaurant) it could be a good experience but please do not call that place a restaurant as it is not!!!

Bob Bob Ricard in London is totally Tish, the deco is quite amazing, I felt a bit in a Poirot book in the 30's... ( Poirot : he's a private detective in the 30's from the author Agatha Christie, Mr. Hercule Poirot is actually the most tishest person in the world) food good... the veal especially... but next time the lobster burger will be mine...service good... Yeah let's give a big tish to this place.
